ROBOT TECHNOLOGY

Laser cutting robot - ROBOCUT Series 2005

One main product of Robot Technology is the ROBOCUT laser cutting robot, which is based on either the ABB or Kuka robot. ROBOCUT is completed with an integrated laser system, with optional laser power from 100W to 600W.

The laser robot ROBOCUT is the optimal system for application in plastics industry. Shaping applications can be realised process-proven and economically by the special robot design and the integration of a CO2-laser into the robot. The basis for our ROBOCUT is an ABB robot IRB 4400, on which is mounted the patented laser axis.

The main application for the laser robot is cutting of plastic parts in the automotive industry, e. g. pillar moldings, door moldings, trunk moldings and outer panels. Nearly all kinds of plastics, like e. g. PP, PE, ABS-PC, perspex, TPO-foils, PVC and fabrics can be cut with high quality and speed. Also material combinations are very suitable for laser cutting. The unrivalled flexibility of laser cutting offers you new possibilities to shape your parts.

ROBOCUT.SCAN

Laser cutting robot with integrated 2-axes-scanner made by ROBOT-TECHNOLOGY. The patent-pending integration of a 2-axes-scanner into the laser cutting robot ROBOCUT K 300. SCAN offers you important advantages for many applications. ROBOCUT K 300.SCAN is able to work on a surface of 100 x 100 mm with a stationary robot. Outlines of every single kind can be cut or labeled with high precision and velocity. While cutting a circle, i.e. a true running accuracy of +/- 0,01 mm could be reached.

Laser perforation

Laser perforation is a steadily increasing application area, and mainly used within the automotive industry to produce drilled parts and airbag perforations. Once again, the Robocut laser robot, together with the appropriate electronics, is used to control the laser. In parallel the laser power can be monitored online and documented
